Can You Crate An Ostrich?

What’s the craziest thing we’ve ever been asked to crate for shipping?
 
Probably ostriches. 
Live ostriches. 
No kidding.
 
A gentleman called and asked me if we could ship an ostrich across country.  Thinking he meant a stuffed ostrich, I asked how large it was.  He replied that there was more than one and the size of the crate would depend on how many we could fit into it. 
 
“How many do you have,” I asked?
 
“Got hundreds of ‘em on our Ostrich Farm,” he replied.
 
“You mean they’re alive?”
 
“Well, of course.  People only want live ostriches from an Ostrich Farm.”
 
I politely declined the opportunity.  We don’t crate live animals at American Crating but we can prep just about anything else for shipping.  Regardless of how many units you’re shipping, American Crating guarantees that all pieces, as stated by you, will be correctly packed and ready for transport prior to your shipment’s departure.
